Press Release: "Tagan Technology is proud to announce the launch of a new line of power supply under our subsidiary brand, Silver Power. Silver Power is a line of power supply that's dedicated to quality, energy efficiency, performance, and most importantly, price competitive. Helping consumers to receive more for what they pay for, is our mission."

To me, Silver Power is a brand new brand, so to speak. But when I found out that they are actually a subsidary of the well respected Tagan brand name, it triggered my attention.

According to specification sheet, SP-1000E designed with quality, efficiency, performance and most importantly price in mind. The Silver Power range of PSU's aims to fill a gap in the market where price and performance are usually not very friendly. Could the Silver Power SP-1000E PSU be one of the first 1000W units to provide stable power at an affordable price? I think we will have the answer in a few moments ;)

Today I'm going to review the Silver Power SP-1000E 1000W GuardianX Power Supply, equipped with six independent +12V Rails, support of 2x8-Pin plus 2x6-Pin or 4x6-Pin PCI-Express, a low noise 80mm fan, Active PFC and it is ATI CrossFire Certified.
